We're back for our fourth year! Looking for some low commitment podfic fun this summer? Sign up for Summer Podfic Swap, a multi-fandom, no-minimum podfic exchange! Runs June through August 2024.

Create a podfic of any length and receive a podfic in return! Signup via the ao3 exchange by June 15th. Assignments go out near the end of June. Gifts are due by August 17th. How to signup
Please sign up through our AO3 exchange here. [The form will open June 1st!] Instructions are included at the top of the form. You will fill out both Request and Offer sections. When signing up, please list a minimum of three fandoms, maximum of twenty; fandoms listed for giving and receiving can be different. If you would like to list more fandoms, you can do so in your Dear Podficcer Letter, but this will not be factored into matching. Dear Podficcer Letters are required. Your completed signup form will be visible to others to facilitate treats.

How will matching be done

Matching will be done through the ao3 algorithm, with the mods spot checking the results. Matches will be made on matching request/offer fandoms, and potentially shared additional tags. If you have any concerns about matching that you don’t feel comfortable sharing publicly, please email the mods before the close of signups. After matches are made, assignments will be emailed out by the end of June.

This submission form is completely optional! All Summer Podfic Swap gifts and treats only need to be submitted through the ao3 exchange. However, if you would like your podfic to be listed on our new end-of-exchange roundup post, please submit this form.

Summer Podfic Swap assignments are due by August 17th, 11:59 pm EDT, right before midnight. Please make sure you submit your gift before then!

If you would like multiple works for your recipient to be included in initial reveals, please email us, otherwise any additional works added to the collection will be considered treats.

(If you would like to make a treat for the mods, please feel free! Dear Podficcer letters for the mods can be found here and here. Any treats for the mods can be added to the collection as normal.)

Initial Summer Podfic Swap gift reveals are tentatively planned for Sunday, August 21st at 12pm EDT, noon. (This date may shift, if not all recipients have gifts by the gift submission deadline. We will let you know if any date change does occur.) Treats will be revealed a day or two after, but will also be accepted into the collection until August 31st, 11:59 pm EDT.

A note about reveals: In order for there to be both gifts and treats in the same collection, but still have separate reveals, we’re going to be using the approve / reject function to temporarily move things around. Works may be in limbo for a very brief period of time. Please don’t panic if you can’t find a particular work, it will be back shortly.

How will matching be done

For our inaugural Summer Podfic Swap, we had:

- 41 signups
- 50 different podficcers contribute to the collection
- 92 works created (48 of those being gifts, 44 being treats) in 55 fandoms
- & almost 54 HOURS of audio produced, with the most works being 10 - 20 minutes in length

We had a couple of mulit-voice podfic in the collection, one of which involved six podficcers!

The three most popular genre tags were: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, & Alternate Universe

The majority of works were rated General Audiences or Teen and Up Audiences, but we had showings from M, E, and & NR as well.

The majority of works were Gen or M/M, but we also had F/F, F/M, Multi & Other represented in the collection.
